The Dallas Cowboys managed to add some depth to their receiving corps with the addition of wideout Allen Hurns. However, there are still looming questions regarding the uncertain future of wide receiver Dez Bryant.

There has been little talk about whether or not the Cowboys are all in on bringing him back. According to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, executive vice president Stephen Jones says it is not the right time.

“We’ll talk about Dez when it’s time,” Jones said from the NFL Owner’s meeting in Orlando. “It’s not time.”

Bryant carries a base salary of $12.5 million for the 2018 NFL season. However, Dallas has made it clear that they would like for the former Pro Bowler to take a pay cut moving forward due to his recent lack of production.

The star wideout is coming off one of the worst seasons of his career after registering just 69 catches on 133 targets for 838 yards and six touchdowns. Furthermore, his lack of chemistry with quarterback Dak Prescott has the offense trending in the wrong direction.

As a result, it seems Dallas is still entertaining the prospect of a future without the former All-Pro. Jones' comments indicate that they are in no rush to address the situation for the time being. The addition of Hurns and wide receiver Deonte Thompson certainly adds some key depth.

However, the Cowboys are still without a true No. 1 option sans Bryant. That said, it will be interesting to see how they go about bringing in a player to fill that role.
