Dana White answered some questions from the media after his show ‘Dana White's Contender Series' and gave some clarity on a few subjects. One of the questions that came up was for the newly minted champion Glover Teixeira.

Glover Teixeira is coming off of a dominant win over Jan Blachwicz and has broken the record for the second oldest UFC champion. He won the belt by second-round submission after dominating the first round and hurting the champion with a big left hook in the second.

UFC 267 saw Jiri Prochazka weigh in as the backup for both men. From there it seemed obvious that he was the next challenger at light heavyweight.

Dana White was asked about it and he kept his answer short: “Probably, yeah.”

Jiri Prochazka only has two fights in the UFC so far but he has made quite the impression. He currently sports a UFC record of 2-0 with both wins coming by knockout.

Dana White is usually good about keeping the divisions moving and keeping his word on who gets the next title shot. It's safe to say Jiri Prochazka will be the next challenger for Glover Teixeira.

Jiri Prochazka currently holds wins over two former UFC title challengers in Volkan Oezdemir and Dominick Reyes. The wins made it easy for Dana White to give him the next crack at the title.

It may be a while before we see the actual fight though. Glover Teixeira wants to take some time off and isn't looking to return until May 2022.
