The Houston Rockets this upcoming summer are expected to be one of the busier teams in the league looking to improve on last season.

In light of that, Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston is reporting that the Rockets on Wednesday morning have agreed to a four-year extension with general manager Daryl Morey.

Morey has played a big part in the Rockets' success over the last several years reaching the playoffs in each of the last five seasons with three 50-win campaigns during that span and one Southwest Division title. He has also helped bring in James Harden, who has developed into one of the elite players in the league.

With Morey in the fold for the next five years, the team will now shift their attention over to bringing in more help in free agency or the trade market. There were reports on Wednesday morning that the Rockets have made several players in Ryan Anderson, Patrick Beverley, and Lou Williams all available via trade and are expected to pursue Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Paul Millsap, and Kyle Lowry.

Houston also plans on offering a full extension for four years for $168 million to Harden that would be on top of the $58.7 million that he is set to earn over the next two seasons and includes a $32.7 million player option for the 2019-20 campaign.

There could much more in store for the Rockets this upcoming summer with eyes toward building a team that can challenge the Golden State Warriors next season and beyond.
