Two-time All-Star DeMar DeRozan has decided not to test his value in free agency this year. After leading the Toronto Raptors to the Eastern Conference championship for the first time in team history, the 26 year old shooting guard is confident he is on the right team for his athleticism.

“My mindset has always been Toronto,” commented DeRozan. “I've always preached it. I was passionate about it when we were losing, when we were terrible. I said I was going to stick through this whole thing, and I want to be that guy who brings this organization to where it is now. I definitely don't want to switch that up after we win.”

DeRozan, alongside with Kyle Lowry, helped carry the Raptors to the playoffs. DeRozan boasts the team's best free throw percentage (.850) among starters and was the leading scorer (1830 points) of the season. If these two can stay together, they may have another shot at the Eastern Conference Championship next year.

“Our No. 1 goal is to bring DeMar back here,” said Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri. “We feel great that he wants to come back to our organization.”

Clearly, DeRozan is a beloved part of this organization that will continue to lead it in the right direction.
