When Kanye West collaborated with Paul McCartney at the beginning of 2015, he seemingly introduced a minority of unknowing millennials to who they believed to be an upcoming new songwriter.
I don't know who Paul McCartney is, but Kanye is going to give this man a career w/ this new song!!

It seems as though McCartney’s global, intergenerational reach doesn’t extend to parts of the basketball community either.
Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins recently revealed that he has no idea who the ex-Beatles legend is.
Upon the opening of the Golden 1 Center, the 74-year-old star played the first live show in the Kings’ new home. Not only did the face of the franchise skip the concert, but he isn’t even aware of McCartney’s existence.
DeMarcus Cousins was asked if he attended the Paul McCartney concert that opened Golden 1 Center last week. "I don't even know who that is."

Now, Cousins has previously displayed a dry sense of humor, purposefully misleading reporters with sarcastic answers. It’s well within the realms of possibility that the big man may know who McCartney is and is just playing games.
Even if Cousins has not heard of McCartney himself, he surely knows who The Beatles are.
Someone get DeMarcus a copy of ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ ASAP.
