Brock Osweiler got another chance to start in the NFL last week for the Miami Dolphins and was able to come through with a big performance to lead his team past the Chicago Bears by a final score of 31-28.

Looking ahead at Week 7 for the Dolphins, starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill will miss another game. That means that Osweiler will get another start against the Detroit Lions. It will give him yet another opportunity to prove that he should get another shot as a starting quarterback.

According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Osweiler will get the start this week for the Dolphins.

Last week against the Bears, Osweiler completed 28 of his 44 pass attempts for 380 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Those numbers against a tough Bears' defense should give the Dolphins hope that Osweiler can get the job done against a much weaker Lions' defense.

Miami is currently 4-2 on the season and has been one of the best surprises of the season. They may not be viewed by most as a serious contender in the AFC, but they are trying to change the perception of themselves.

Osweiler and the Dolphins can make yet another statement this week with a big win. Miami could improve to 5-2 on the season and make an even bigger step towards the playoff.

Expect to see Miami and Osweiler come out the same way they did last week. They have a talented offense, which will need to continue playing strong in order to stay in playoff contention.
