The Miami Dolphins very nearly found themselves in a six-point hole early in the first quarter, but defensive back Steven Parker had other plans.

Battling Indianapolis Colts tight end Eric Ebron for the ball in the end zone, the officials determined that Parker had in fact picked off quarterback Brian Hoyer, awarding Parker with the first interception of his career.

Parker, who entered the day having made just two NFL starts and accrued eight tackles, made his impact felt early as Miami parlayed his turnover into a field goal.

As for Hoyer, who is making his first NFL start since the 2017 year as a member of the San Francisco 49ers, he has now thrown an interception two consecutive weeks in place of the injured Jacoby Brissett (knee). Ebron will need to remain in search of his fourth receiving touchdown of the year.
