It was never any secret that Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland would cost a pretty penny. His release clause will drop to €75 million next summer which isn't going to break the bank, but for a player of his caliber, it would be well worth it for the club that lands him.

However, it appears that the Norwegian is expecting a massive salary as well. Per ESPN's Mark Ogden, Haaland is looking for around €30 million per season, with Man City, Chelsea, and basically every other European giant interested in his services.

You'll have a hard time finding another striker in Europe who is flying as high as Erling Haaland. Since arriving at Signal Iduna Park in December of 2019, the Norway international has bagged 70 goals in 69 appearances for BVB, solidifying himself as one of the clinical finishers on the globe.

Many believe that Haaland has nothing left to prove in Germany, although his current deal runs until 2024. But, there is a firm belief he will ultimately leave in 2022 with no shortage of potential suitors. Erling Haaland is surely shaping up to be one of the best players in the world and if he wants to win trophies, he will need to move on.

As for Haaland's desired wages, it's unlikely any of these clubs would have any problem paying him what he wants. When you score goals at the rate he does, it's understandable why the 21-year-old is such a hot commodity.
