Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz is over four months out from the stress fracture in his back, and he is still recovering. He is a little behind with his recovery but Wentz points out there are some things that take longer than others, and that is what he is dealing with right now.

“It’s still getting there,” Wentz said via NBC Sports. “Some of the stuff just takes time. That’s not really the main concern, it’s just kind of how I feel and I feel really good with where I’m at.”

When it was announced on December 14th that Wentz had the stress fracture, coach Doug Pederson said he expected it would take about three months to recover, and although it's going to a little slower than what was first planned the expectation is that he will still be ready to be a full participant when OTA's start on May 21st.

Even with Wentz saying he is improving it still has to be concerning that he is behind schedule on his recovery, especially when you consider his injury history. Wentz was asked about the injury concern, and he said he understands why people think that he has an issue with them, but is ready to prove those people wrong.

“I get it. I get it,” he said. “I’m looking forward to putting those behind me. I understand it’s a part of this league, it’s a physical league and things happen. Some of those things are out of my control and I look forward to putting that behind me.”
