The Philadelphia Eagles spoke to the media Wednesday afternoon at the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine. Head coach Nick Sirianni and general manager Howie Roseman answered questions regarding the draft, their three first-round picks, and, of course, the quarterback position.

Roseman was asked about the possibility of acquiring Deshaun Watson to replace Jalen Hurts as the Eagles' starting quarterback. Eagles reporter Victor Williams tweeted the GM's response Wednesday afternoon.

At the end of the season, Roseman and Sirianni made it clear that they were dedicated to Hurts. They publicized their intentions with Hurts and said that the young quarterback is “their guy” moving forward.

Despite their best efforts with transparency, in typical Philadelphia fashion, a quarterback controversy began. Eagles fans began to question Hurts' potential, and whether or not he is capable of taking the team beyond the Wild Card Round.

Regardless of what people outside of the Eagles' organization believe, it sounds like Hurts is sticking around for at least another year. The 23-year-old is the future of the Eagles, and Howie Roseman solidified his stance Wednesday afternoon.

In his first season as the starting quarterback, Hurts recorded 432 completions for 3,144 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also led the league in the most rushing yards and the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback. Hurts recorded 784 yards and 10 touchdowns. The young quarterback also led the team to a playoff run, albeit short.
