The Philadelphia Eagles fail to see the end of their struggles as of late after they suffered another 22-17 loss, this time at the hands of the Cleveland Browns in Week 11. Despite the team's rocky situation, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson remains to put his trust and confidence in quarterback Carson Wentz to lead them for their coming games.

The tactician also reasserted his accountability and authority over Wentz's position as the team's QB1 and claimed that the situation will only change based on his final judgment.

“I’m the head coach and I get to make those decisions,” he said to 94WIP’s Angelo and The Morning Team. “But, it comes with careful consideration by myself.”

A downpour of rain made life harder for Wentz to find his footing in the game where he was fairly inefficient from the field with a subpar passing clip of 21/35. He also threw two picks and was sacked five times by the Browns' defensive line who was even without star defensive end Myles Garrett.

The Eagles quarterback also failed to get the offense going early on as the team went scoreless during the first two quarters of the game. Wentz was unable to receive help from his teammates with Dallas Goedert being limited to only 77 yards on five receptions and a touchdown.

His fellow tight end in Richard Rodgers managed to contribute with a meager output of 48 yards on two catches and a touchdown score but it wasn't enough the lift the Eagles over their counterparts. The Browns held total control of the tilt and ran away with the 22-17 victory to grab their seventh win of the season.

The Eagles fell to a subpar 3-6-1 record but still managed to hold onto the pole position in the struggling NFC East division.

Although he remains to be the team's starter under center, Carson Wentz will have to bounce back with a huge performance in their next matchup against the Seattle Seahawks before the clock ultimately expires on his reign in Philadelphia.
