Before the NFL trade deadline, the Miami Dolphins made a move that no one saw coming. Miami dealt running back Jay Ajayi to the Philadelphia Eagles, and one of the rumored reasons for the move was the 24-year-old being problem in the locker room.

As it does with any player traded for being a supposed locker room problem, Ajayi wasn't happy, and he continues to use the trade and all the talk as motivation with his new team. Ajayi recently talked about how he won't feel redeemed until the Eagles win a Super Bowl with him coming out of the backfield, via Matt Lombardo of NJ.com.

“I don't think it will be redemption until I win the Super Bowl,” Ajayi said. “If we can get that done, then I'll have my redemption.”

With the Eagles now set to face the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship Game, Ajayi is two wins away from achieving his goal of winning a Super Bowl title with his new team and getting his redemption for being cast out by the Dolphins last year.

Although the Eagles are underdogs heading into their matchup with the Vikings, Philadelphia is still expected to put up a fight even without their star quarterback Carson Wentz leading the charge. The top-seeded squad will face an incredibly tough challenge against one of the best defenses in the NFL that will certainly put Ajayi to the test.

Ajayi played seven regular-season games with the Eagles following the trade and has racked up 499 yards and two total touchdowns. In Philadelphia's first playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons, Ajayi had 98 yards from scrimmage as the team went on to beat the defending NFC champions, 15-10.
