Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles missed out on a huge payday due to an injury in the 2018 NFL season finale. Fortunately, he has an opportunity to gain some of it back against the Chicago Bears.

Despite his injury, Foles has been named the starter for this week's Wild Card matchup in Chicago. According to John Breech of CBS Sports, he could earn a $1 million bonus if the Eagles beat the Bears:

If Foles can lead the Eagles to an upset win over the Bears, the biggest winner might be his bank account. Back in April, Foles restructured his contract with the Eagles and as part of the deal, Philly agreed to pay him a $500,000 bonus for every postseason game where he took at least 33 percent of the snaps. The Eagles also agreed to tack on another $500,000 for any postseason game that Philly won with Foles under center.

This is certainly good news for Foles' bank account. He has a chance to earn back some of the money he lost after falling just four snaps short of receiving a $1 million bonus in the regular season. He will now have an opportunity to earn $500,000 by playing at least 33 percent of the snaps versus Chicago and another $500,000 if he can lead the Eagles to victory.

Of course, both stipulations are easier said than done. The Eagles have been pegged as the underdogs this week. It is easy to see why with how formidable the Bears' defense has been all season. Fortunately, Philadelphia finds themselves in familiar territory to last season when they proved more than capable of pulling off one upset after another.
