The Philadelphia Eagles are giving wide receiver Marcus Green another shot. It was earlier reported in July 26 that the franchise decided to cut him from their squad but apparently, per Tom Pelissero on Twitter, Philadelphia will be re-signing Green.

The Mississippi-native was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons as their sixth round pick in last year's NFL Draft and was eventually waived during the final roster cuts in August of 2019 before he was picked up by the Eagles. Green was a member of the Eagles' practice squad last season before he was again waived a week and a half ago by the team. The re-signing of Green completes the Eagles' 80-man limit in their roster and they look to be fully locked in with their squad as training camp approaches this month.

At 23, Green has never played a professional football career yet and is looking to finally debut as an Eagles WR this season.

Green spent four years in Louisinana-Monroe where he made a name for himself early in his collegiate career. As a freshman, he led his team with 63 receptions for 698 yards. He would continue to impress on his third year where he led the NCAA with a 32.4 yard average on kick returns and a total of four touchdowns on kickoff returns. He graduated the Warhawk program matching the all-time school record of 23 touchdowns and ranked number two in receiving yards (2.698) and third in career receptions (202).

Hopefully, the addition of Green helps Philadelphia continue their playoff streak and make it to the post-season four times in a row this 2020 season.
