The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys are hoping to win the NFC East on Sunday and there is some extra motivation for certain players. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, while Philadelphia and Dallas battle for the NFC East title, and the Eagles control their own destiny, Rodney McLeod and Jason Witten have incentives that can be earned on Sunday.

McLeod was given a contract incentive that required him to play 85 percent of Philadelphia's snaps on defense. As a matter of fact, McLeod has played in 98 percent or more of the Eagles' defensive snaps in the first 15 games. The veteran safety already earned that incentive and could secure another one with a win in Week 17.

If the Eagles win the NFC East and make the playoffs, McLeod will be handed an extra $250,000. Therefore, the game between the Eagles and New York Giants holds a bit more meaning for McLeod.

On the other hand, the Cowboys incorporated an incentive for Witten to corral 55 receptions. The 37-year-old tight end has already secured 59 receptions, 505 yards, and four touchdowns heading into Week 17.

In the event that Dallas defeats the Washington Redskins on Sunday, Witten would receive a bonus of $375,000 to his contract. This incentive could have been one of the many reasons why Witten chose to come out of retirement before 2019.

Of course, Witten would love to end his 16th season with the Cowboys with a playoff berth. But only one of McLeod or Witten will end up being given a lucrative incentive after Sunday.

There is a lot at stake for the Eagles and Cowboys on Sunday as both teams attempt to take home the division crown. More specifically, there is some added motivation for Witten and McLeod to help their respective teams advance to the postseason.
