The Philadelphia Eagles are set to take the field this week for the first time against the New England Patriots since Super Bowl 52 that has brought back plenty of the emotions from the game.

This has reached the point to where some Eagles fans have decided to purchase and put up a billboard near Gillette Stadium ahead of Thursday's preseason game that mocks the Patriots.

There are some clear shots at the Patriots in the billboard that show the score of the game on the player's jerseys with the Eagles while in the middle is a dog in the similar attire that Eagles center Jason Kelce wore to the championship celebration parade. The use of a dog to symbolize the team being the underdog in the matchup that helped fuel their motivation toward winning their first Super Bowl.

This isn't any slight to the Patriots in any manner, but rather it being trash talk for the Eagles to hold over the Patriots given that they toppled them earlier this year on the grandest stage. It just brings more hype and attention to the upcoming matchup that albeit it's just a preseason game, but there will be plenty of emotions in the contest. This was another way that Eagles fans can brag about their team finding success over the standard bearer in the league and one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

It may be one of the final opportunities that the fan base can stick to the Patriots prior to the start of the 2018 season as it will be their lone matchup this year unless the two face off in Super Bowl 53 next February. All in all, it's just a creative way for there to be more banter between both franchises and their fans despite being several months removed from the game.
