Philadelphia Eagles first-year head coach Nick Sirianni has had NFL prospects play rock paper scissors against him, he had quite the bizarre introductory press conference and now, he's comparing Philly's upcoming season to Rocky's fight against Ivan Drago.

Appearing on Good Morning Football on Friday, Sirianni views the season for the Eagles as a bunch of heavyweight battles.

It's quite the comparison to make by Sirianni who has become a walking soundbite at this point for the Eagles.

Sirianni hasn't given the typical “coach speak” answers during his pressers which is very refreshing. While he hasn't been direct in some of his responses he does seem to always come up with something interesting.

Eagles fans may not appreciate it and also may hold some hesitation on Sirianni entering year one of the new regime. That likely stems from Sirianni's odd introductory press conference back in January.

“Next thing that’s very important to me is that we build a smart football team. That we have a smart football team here, and I know we have the people in place to do that. The first part of being smart is knowing what to do. We’re going to…we’re going to know…we’re going to have systems in place that are easier to learn. Alright, complicated to the defense or offense that they’re going against, or the special teams group they’re going against, but easy for us to learn.”

What a paragraph!

The Eagles are hoping that both Sirianni is the answer at head coach while Jalen Hurts is the answer at quarterback in Philly. Win, lose or draw, it will be an intriguing year in Philly.
