Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni had a curious way of testing NFL prospects' desire to win.

Sirianni told reporters he played “Rock, Paper, Scissors” with various members of the upcoming draft class in order to “gauge their competitiveness,” per Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Interesting philosophy from the first-year head coach.

Sirianni faces some important decisions right off the bat. The Eagles own the No. 12 pick in next Thursday's draft after making a trade with the Miami Dolphins. They would figure to add one of the top receivers in the class at that spot.

Philly is entering the 2021 season with plenty of uncertainty especially at the quarterback position. Jalen Hurts would seem to be the starter after the Eagles traded Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts. But Sirianni has said he wants every position to be an open competition.

Regardless of who is named QB1, however, that person needs more talented pass-catchers. Veteran wideouts Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson are both gone. Tight end Zach Ertz remains an Eagle, though he could still be moved at some point.

Fortunately for the Eagles, there are a lot of good receivers in this class. It is possible they can still land a top-three wideout considering the emphasis on quarterbacks. That might mean the likes of Jaylen Waddle or DeVonta Smith headed to the City of Brotherly Love.

Then again, the Eagles could probably use some help in the secondary, as well. This especially pertains to the cornerback position.

Perhaps the “Rock, Paper, Scissors” games will better inform the team's first-round choice if the Eagles are mostly undecided heading into the draft.

That's a joke, of course. But did you see Sirianni's introductory press conference? Maybe it isn't…
