The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a rocky 2019 NFL season. It seems wide receiver Alshon Jeffery would not mind if it were his last with the team.

According to Connor Hughes of TheAthletic.com, Jeffery would reportedly welcome the prospect of being traded this offseason:

The Eagles are looking to move Jeffery, league sources confirmed to The Athletic. And Jeffery would welcome the change of scenery.

Jeffery has served as the No. 1 option for quarterback Carson Wentz in the passing game since signing with Philadelphia prior to the 2017 campaign. Although he has enjoyed plenty of success after winning a Super Bowl, the team appears to be in a much different state than it was a few years ago.

Jeffery struggled to find his footing due to injury and wound up finishing the 2019 campaign with 43 receptions for 490 yards and four touchdowns in 10 games. Reports had started to surface about some tension growing in the locker room toward Wentz and rumors ultimately pegged the one-time Pro bowler as the primary source. Rumors indicate that this could be a factor in the Eagles' desire to trade him this offseason.

It remains to be seen just what kind of return Jeffery would garner. He is still recovering from Lisfranc surgery he had in December and is facing a nine-month timetable for his return. Meanwhile, Philadelphia would be left with even more questions regarding the state of their receiving corps if Jeffery left. Regardless, his availability will certainly be something for teams around the league to monitor.
