The Philadelphia Eagles extended their early first-half lead over the Chicago Bears at home in the two team's Week 9 matchup with a 25-yard pass from quarterback Carson Wentz to tight end Zach Ertz (via NFL).

The 26-year-old Eagles gunslinger threw a seam over the middle into Ertz's hands, and the tight end bullied his way into the end zone through two Bears defensive backs for the score. It was Philly's first touchdown on the day following two extra points; however, kicker Jake Elliott could not complete the extra point, pushing the Eagles' first-half lead to 12 points.

Ertz, a two-time Pro-Bowler, scored his second touchdown of the season with the reception—far below the pace to match his single-season career-high mark at eight, which he has set in the past two years with Philly.

It was also Wentz' 85th passing touchdown in his young professional career.
