The Atlanta Falcons have experienced their fair share of ups and downs through the first six weeks of the season that has seen them win just out of their first six games played.

A large part of this has been some of their inconsistency offensive over that stretch that has shown flashes of their potential on that side of the ball. It is something that former league MVP Matt Ryan believes that the Falcons must take a more aggressive approach to their game plan in order to find more success on the field, according to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.

“You have to have the mindset every week, that we need to do whatever we’ve got to do to get it done,” Ryan said. “And if it takes us to score 40, 50 whatever, we’ve got to do it, and that mindset doesn’t really change regardless of who’s over there. You have to have that aggressive mindset as an offense.”

Atlanta has one of the league's most explosive offenses that features plenty of talent that should push them forward toward competing for the playoffs led by their passing game. The Falcons currently rank ninth with 27.8 points per game while being fourth in passing this season.

Matt Ryan has headed that charge behind his arm utilizing the plethora of talent around him in wide receivers Julio Jones, Mohammad Sanu, rookie Calvin Ridley, and tight end Austin Hooper. They also possess a dynamic duo in the backfield with Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman that has provided another element to the offense. Granted, Freeman is dealing a leg injury and Ridley has an ankle issue, the team still has the firepower to put points on the board with the best of them in the league.

If the Falcons hope to get back into the playoff picture, it will largely depend on their offense toward pushing them to that toward those aspirations. This is something that Ryan has a clear understanding of the task at hand that is key to their success for the rest of the 2018 campaign.
