Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones rewrote record books last Sunday, rushing for four touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys. In the process, he collected 182 scrimmage yards — including 107 on the ground, on 19 carries, and 75 as a catcher on seven receptions.

Last week's explosion of production was proof that selecting Jones early and subsequently starting him, was a good decision. Before then, the Packers running back hadn't particularly burst onto the scene like many expected him to. Now, he leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns (eight).

Heading into a Week 6 “Monday Night Football” matchup with the Detroit Lions, Jones should be a lock to make your starting lineup, whether it be as a running back or flex. That notion becomes truer if Jamaal Williams sits.

Though Williams did clear concussion protocol, he should be limited even if he plays. However, given Jones' outstanding most recent performance, Green Bay may rest Williams another week as a precautionary measure.

Williams or not, Jones should be in your lineup. But, don't expect him to rush for four touchdowns in back-to-back weeks; because, well, that doesn't happen. However, he should have a good game against Detroit, at least, that is what the statistics say.

In the Detroit defense, the Packers are facing an easier rush defense than the Cowboys'. The Lions are allowing 124.8 rushing yards per game and have seen five rushing touchdowns go against them in four games. For comparison's sack, the Cowboys are allowing 101.4 per and allowed two touchdowns in four games.

What's interesting to note about the Lions matchup is they haven't faced a running attack like Green Bay's. Whereas the Packers — if Williams is out — will run most of their attempts through Jones, their opponents have been of the committee variety, which they've struggled defending. What does that mean? If the Packers could get Tra Carson or Dexter Williams going too, the Lions defense may wear down easier.

Jones should continue to receive looks in the passing game as well. However, if Williams is playing, he will earn fewer touches as a pass-catcher. It's worth remembering. Nonetheless, he should bring good value in Week 6. The Lions have struggled against the rush, Jones has momentum on his side and the Packers are playing at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
