As the No. 11 Florida Gators get set for their biggest matchup of the year against No. 1 Alabama, there are two quarterbacks still in the mix for Dan Mullen to use.

Emory Jones and Anthony Richardson have both shown plenty of flashes for Florida at the QB1 spot through the first two weeks. Via, ESPN, Mullen plans to keep Jones as the starter and will keep incorporating both quarterbacks.

Mullen has said all along that both quarterbacks will play and that managing the division of labor between the two is “pretty simple.”

“They know what we have scheduled going into the game,” Mullen said.

While Florida fans have been clamoring for Richardson to start, it will still be Jones who gets the initial nod. Against South Florida in Week 2, Richardson went 3/3 for 152 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also had 4 carries for 115 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Regardless of how the snaps and series' play out between the two quarterbacks, Alabama coach Nick Saban will have his squad more than ready.

“When the quarterback can run — and they run quarterback runs — it's almost like playing against Wildcat, so they've got an extra blocker but they also have the ability to make big plays in the passing game, which they've made and been pretty efficient in the passing game,” Saban said.

It'll be a huge matchup that could shakeup the top of the college football world if Jones and Richardson are able to execute against the Crimson Tide.
