The New York Giants finally got in the win column after taking down the Houston Texans in a 27-22 road win on Sunday. However, their day won’t end without some piece of bad news, as it’s been reported by Jordan Raanan of ESPN that tight end Evan Engram was forced out of the Texans game with a knee injury.

Before exiting the Texans game, Engram managed to record just a catch for 19 yards. He hurt his knee when he got hit by Houston safety Kareem Jackson along the sidelines in the second quarter.

Despite missing Engram for most of the contest, Eli Manning was able to dissect Houston’s defense for 265 passing yards and two touchdowns without an interception on 25 of 29 completions. Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham carried most of the load downfield, pulling down nine catches for 109 receiving yards, while Sterling Shepard had 80 receiving yards and a touchdown on six receptions.

The Giants tried to cover the hole left by Evan Engram in the game by using Scott Simonson and Rhett Ellison, who had 39 receiving yards and a touchdown grab.
