There were plenty of questions about Duke quarterback Daniel Jones when the New York Giants used the sixth overall pick on him in the 2019 NFL Draft last month, but perhaps the biggest concern was his arm strength.

Well, apparently, that has not been an issue for Jones in offseason workouts, as Giants wide receiver Golden Tate has actually come away impressed with the rookie's arm thus far:

“Dan the man, he’s looking good,” Tate said Thursday during an appearance on Sirius XM NFL Radio. “In my mind quarterback is the toughest position to play because you have to understand what each one of your guys are doing in addition to the coverages and the front and all sorts of stuff. He’s doing a good job. Talent-wise, the guys got a super, super strong arm. He can move around a little bit.”

Interestingly enough, Tate isn't the first Giant to praise Jones' arm, as Eli Manning himself said that Jones “throws it well” after the first round of organized team activities.

Jones did not exactly put up big numbers in college, as he threw for just 2,674 yards, 22 touchdowns, and nine interceptions while completing 60.5 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 131.7 during his final season at Duke.

However, there have been some scouts who have said they like Jones' potential, and some have even likened him to the Manning brothers.

Still, that has not stopped most fans and media pundits from ripping New York for electing to take Jones over Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins, who ended up going to the Washington Redskins at No. 15.
