Multiple New York Giants couldn't avoid the injury bug in their Week 3 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons. In the first half alone of Sunday's game, New York lost both Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard to injury.

Both wide receivers suffered hamstring injuries and were ruled out from returning to action shortly after leaving the field.

Expect the Giants to rely even more on prized offseason addition Kenny Golladay, who was initially questionable for Sunday's game with a hip injury, now that Slayton and Shepard are sidelined. Tight end Evan Engram also stands to see more targets, as do reserve wideouts Kadarius Toney and C.J. Board.

The Giants are looking to turn their fortunes around in Week 3. They lost the two first games of the season to the Denver Broncos and the Washington Football Team, respectively, casting major doubt on the team's ability to compete for a playoff spot this season. Though quarterback Daniel Jones has struggled for New York, more discouraging has been the performance of superstar running back Saquon Barkley, almost completely bottled up during the first two weeks of 2021.
