Mitchell Trubisky is garnering tons of interest ahead of free agency, but according to the latest reports, he is leaning to join the New York Giants.

Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports shared the latest rumor, noting that a team he has spoken to expressed belief that Trubisky is going to the Giants and will compete with Daniel Jones for the starting job.

The QB market is brewing to be a competitive one given the number of teams looking for a quarterback to upgrade their teams. It also helps in Mitchell Trubisky's case that the 2022 NFL Draft Class lacks a true top QB talent, which makes him an even more desirable option for teams.

Trubisky didn't get a lot of chance to play on the field while serving as Josh Allen's back-up with the Buffalo Bills, but getting the opportunity to learn the Bills system that made Allen an MVP contender should be beneficial for him as he seeks his next team where he can be a starter.

Aside from the Giants, though, the Washington Commanders, New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers are said to have interest in Trubisky. It remains to be seen if they will still pursue the 27-year-old signal-caller given the latest development, but nothing is official until there's a contract signed.

As for the Giants, it will definitely be a big boost if they are able to land Trubisky. They will have that depth at the position, and the presence of a QB competition could also very well help in the development of Jones.
