After a controversial start to the season, the Green Bay Packers have won five straight games and are now at the top of the NFC North standings. It seems 37-year-old Aaron Rodgers is back to the MVP he was a year ago and his offensive line continues to make him look good. It helps that the whole team has momentum on their side as they continue to rack up wins — a streak that started against the Detroit Lions and most recently featured a win against against the Chicago Bears

You know what would be better than this five game winning streak? Facing a struggling Washington Football Team on Sunday. The Packers have the opportunity to capitalize versus Washington and perhaps play their best game yet. Washington is coming off a blowout loss vs. the Kansas City Chiefs (31-13) who didn’t look at their best prior to this game. In short, this should be an easy task for Rodgers and Co. Here are 4 bold predictions for Sunday’s game:

4. Packers easily extend their winning streak

As mentioned above, Washington is one of the easiest opponents the Packers will face so far. Washington’s defense has just been off for the past couple of games. They led the Chiefs by three at halftime and ended up yielding a 21-0 run to Kansas City after the half. This was another game where Washington allowed their opponents to score 30+ points and one that they suffered a double-digit loss. And that is not going to cut it vs. the Packers’ strong offensive unit.

3. Davante Adams will have his best game yet

Adams has solidified himself as one of, if not the best wide receiver in the league. He’s been spectacular so far as his chemistry with Rodgers is just unmatched. He’s currently up to 668 receiving yards which will ascend even more when he faces Washington’s defense on Sunday. The coverage that Adams demands sometimes does not even get to stop him, so what will this WFT defense do? Expect a huge day from No. 17.

2. Rodgers will climb the MVP standings after Sunday’s game

If Rodgers leads his team to a record of 6-1 after Sunday’s potential victory, his name should be in the discussion to once again win this season’s MVP award. There’s no team in the NFC North that’s close to dethroning the Packers so there’s room for Green Bay to continue their success in their division. Yes, remarkable names like Dak Prescott, Tom Brady, Josh Allen, Kyle Murray and Lamar Jackson should be early candidates but Rodgers deserves some attention as well.

1.The panic over Green Bay’s Week 1 loss will look even more silly after Sunday’s victory

Remember Green Bay’s first game and how many thought they could be cooked due to Rodgers’ status with the team? Well, their winning streak continues to kill those doubts thrown their way during Week 1. And it’ll look even more silly as the Packers continue to add up wins and dominate the NFC North. The team is on a really smooth path and have a chance to capitalize vs. an opponent they have won five straight games against at Lambeau Field — the same stadium where Sunday’s game will be held.
