After taking down the no. 1 seed Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday, Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant dedicated their victory to a Twitter troll that recently called out the rookie.

Morant also took to social media to thank his naysayer for the motivation.

For added context, this is the Tweet from a certain Daniel Greer, calling out Morant for his lack of a chip on his shoulder.

Morant certainly had that extra fire in his belly on Saturday with the no. 1 seeded Los Angeles Lakers in town. This year's second overall pick led the Grizzlies to the 105-88 route of the Lakers with 27 points, 14 assists, and four three-pointers.

Morant was aggressive all game long, and it was clear that he really wanted to show out tonight. In fact, he nearly put down this insane dunk over the NBA's best shot blocker in Anthony Davis, but was called for a charging foul on the play.

The win also snapped a five-game losing streak for the Grizzlies. Memphis came back from the All-Star break struggling, which has loosened their grip on the no. 8 spot in the Western Conference playoff race.

It also doesn't help that the New Orleans Pelicans, led by the no. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson, have been on a roll lately.  The victory on Saturday gives them a little more separation with the Pelicans, which are now just 2.5 games behind the Grizzlies.

Saturday's performance should also give Memphis a boost of confidence as they embark on their push for the playoffs for the next month and a half. The Grizzlies have one of the tougher remaining schedules this season, while New Orleans have among the easiest.

The Grizzlies will definitely need Morant to stay motivated if they want to make their first playoff appearance since the Marc Gasol-Mike Conley Grit and Grind era.
