The Memphis Grizzlies may have failed to advance further in the 2022 playoffs, but their incredible run isn't without any positive. For one, they got a glimpse of what the future holds with Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. leading the way.

Morant was undoubtedly the most impressive among the Grizzlies during the 2021-22 season and the playoffs. He took his game to another level in the postseason, showing everyone why he is the go-to guy of Memphis. However, Jackson himself had quite the run, often stepping up for Memphis as they made life hard for both the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors.

It's quite frustrating that Morant missed their last three playoff games due to injury; however, he and Jackson have shown enough to raise hopes up of a brighter future for Grind City.

And for the two, they expect the same thing. As their chemistry grows and partnership improves, both Morant and JJJ see a lethal combo that will be hard to stop.

“I feel like we showed good signs early on in this series, and the first couple of games I played, about how special we can be with both of us on the floor together,” Morant said on his partnership with Jackson, per Grind City Media. “It’s just a matter of time before it’s real scary for everybody once we’re actually clicking.”

Jaren Jackson Jr. also highlighted the foundation he built with Ja Morant. He shared how he and the young guard were always on the same page during the Warriors' series, which should only bode well in their quest to strengthen their chemistry.

“There’s a lot to be positive about and to think about. But there’s so much more to do, we’re still young. We’re going to strive more, and this is a good foundation for us,” Jackson added.

Indeed, Morant and JJJ have the chance to be among the best duos in the NBA. They have proven they have what it takes to compete at the highest level, and all that is left for them is to keep working on their strengths and weaknesses and become a better version of themselves come next season.

When the two takes that next level, the Grizzlies will indeed be scary.
