The Memphis Grizzlies just demolished the Oklahoma City Thunder like no NBA team has ever done before. Their 73-point beatdown was the largest deficit in NBA history, besting the previous mark set in 1991 when the Cleveland Cavaliers throttled the Miami Heat by 68 points.

Even more impressive was the fact that they did it without their potential All-NBA star in Ja Morant. The Grizzlies frontman could only watch in amazement as his team put on an absolute clinic without him. He voiced out his reaction on Twitter, raring to rejoin his squad.

Both the Grizzlies and Thunder were battling without their lead guard, as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was also sidelined from the contest. But clearly one team missed their star more than the other.

Memphis had nine of its 12 players in double figures as they shot a combined 60-for-96 from the field. They also combined for 41 assists on the evening as the thrashing was a complete team effort.

Lopsided scoreline or not, the win was the most important part for the Grizzlies as it propelled them to the fifth seed in the West, breaking a tie with the Los Angeles Lakers. Things are looking up for Ja Morant and Co. as they now find themselves in a three-game win streak and a boatload of momentum after this historic win.
