The Memphis Grizzlies continue to roll without Ja Morant, beating the Golden State Warriors on Monday in blowout fashion. Now, the superstar guard wants everyone to give the respect his teammates deserve.

While the current talk has been about the Grizzlies not really needing Morant with the way they play, the young star couldn't care less about that narrative and instead wants both the fans and media to focus on his teammates. He emphasized that once again after Memphis destroyed Golden State 123-95.

On Twitter, Morant retweeted a graphic showing how the Grizzlies improved to 18-2 without him this 2021-22. In the said post, he was also quoted saying “Put some respect on my teammates.”

Certainly, the Grizzlies deserve all the respect in the world with the shocking run they are having this campaign. If you told anyone before the season started that this young Memphis team would have one of the best records in the NBA come March, they would probably laugh at you and say you're crazy. That's just how insane their run has been–no one saw it coming.

Of course the playoffs is a different beast and the Grizzlies could find themselves in trouble given that they are a young team. However, if there is one thing Ja Morant and co. have proven, it's the fact that they never back down from any challenge and actually embrace it.

It remains to be seen when Morant will be able to return from his knee injury, but for now, the youngster is enjoying watching his teammates thrive and get all the spotlight.
