Ja Morant put on his seatbelt and took off on Monday night. The Memphis Grizzlies superstar was cleared for take-off against the Boston Celtics as the reigning Rookie of the Year converted a nasty alley-oop jam in transition. No one was even close to Morant as he soared for the monster bucket.

Morant really went way up on this one.

The Grizzlies went from end to end as Dillon Brooks intercepted the ball from Jaylen Brown, igniting their transition attack. The 21-year-old Morant, who was way back at the Celtics' three-point line, outsprinted everybody which gave him enough momentum to go way up. He even exposed the age of Celtics point guard Jeff Teague on this one as Teague had no chance of catching Morant down the floor.

It didn't matter that Brooks' pass was a bit far. Just throw it up and let Temetrius Jamel Morant do the rest.

The high-flying sophomore has been one of the most exciting young stars in the NBA, with highlight-reel-worthy plays almost every game. Ja Morant is an athletic stud that can explode to the rim at any given time. If you're trying to stop this man, it might be best to just scoot away and let him fly.
