The league has announced the official NBA All-Defensive First Team as the best defensive players receive some love. After having a stellar bounce-back season from his leg injury a year ago, Jaren Jackson Jr. finds himself named as one of the First Team options. Fellow Memphis Grizzlies teammate Ja Morant shows his support.

Ja Morant took to Twitter after seeing his teammate be donned a First Team defensive star. He displays a GIF of Toney Allen, a former Grizzly guard who was best known for his ability on defense. So, Memphis went from having a premier perimeter defender to having an elite post specialist in just a few short years.

This is just a clever way for Ja Morat to show his love to the Grizzlies organization. Not only is he proud of his current teammate, but he also shows respect for a former fan favorite. It's a great way to show appreciation for Jaron Jackson Jr., as the two have built amazing chemistry over the years.

The other four names that joined Jackson Jr. on the NBA All-Defensive First Team are Giannis Antetokounmpo, Mikal Bridges, Rudy Gobert, and the 2022 Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart. That's an excellent list of defenders for Jaron Jackson Jr. to be standing next to, as the Grizzlies truly have one of the best defensive teams in the league right now.

It will be an interesting offseason for Memphis. After playing as one of the best teams in the NBA, the Grizzlies fell short in the postseason. Now, the front office will find a way to make adjustments and continue building around Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. Keep an eye on this organization, as this team is likely going to be a contender for as long as these two stars are on the roster.
