Good news for Memphis Grizzlies fans: Justise Winslow seems to be enjoying his new digs.

TMZ caught up with Winslow and asked the newest member of the Grizzlies about his first impressions of Memphis.

“It's great, I love it here. Everybody's been very receiving and excited for me…I love Memphis,” said Winslow.

Winslow was traded to the Grizzlies in one of the more significant transactions before the Feb. 6 trade deadline. Winslow and Dion Waiters were shipped to Memphis in a three-team deal that sent Andre Iguodala, Jae Crowder, and Solomon Hill to Miami. James Johnson was also traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves and Gorgui Dieng went to Memphis.

Memphis immediately waived Waiters, but they certainly envision Winslow as a long-term piece that can gel with their promising young core of Ja Morant, Dillon Brooks, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Brandon Clarke. The 23-year-old point-forward brings versatility and defensive potential, along with an inherent ability to run pick and roll.

All that is pending is good health for Winslow, but the Grizzlies will have to wait a little while longer before getting a glimpse of how he can blend in. He remains out with a bone bruise in his back that — along with a November concussion — has limited him to just 11 games this season.

Justise Winslow has dealt with nagging injuries throughout his career, having missed most of his sophomore season with a torn labrum. Moreover, he has never quite put together a completely healthy campaign, though he did start to make strides in the previous two seasons — particularly in 2018-19 when his scoring rose to 12.6 points per game.

Interestingly though, the newcomer may already be having an on-court impact from the sidelines.
