Memphis Grizzlies forward Tyreke Evans is slated to sit out, starting tonight against the Indiana Pacers, as the team looks for the best potential destination to trade him to prior to this trade deadline, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Evans is having his best year since his rookie season with the Sacramento Kings, averaging 19.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game for the Grizzlies. Given his rising stock and a porous 19-31 record this season, Memphis will seek to get the most assets for his services — namely a first-round pick in return.

The Philadelphia 76ers were one of the first teams rumored to be interested in Evans, and reportedly offered Jerryd Bayless in exchange for Evans and Brandan Wright/Ben McLemore, but couldn't come to an agreement given the Sixers' reluctance to throw in a first-round pick.

The Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, and New Orleans Pelicans have expressed interest in the dynamic forward, who seems to be soaring as one of the most desired assets in this midseason galore.

Evans will likely be a rental for any team that chooses to trade for him, as the Chester, Pennsylvania native signed a one-year, $3.3 million deal with Memphis in the offseason.

A dynamic scorer with a well-rounded floor game, the 28-year-old swingman has added a respectable 3-point shot to his game, making 2.1 treys per game at a 39.2 percent clip this season.

Having played in only 40 games with two teams last season, Evans has rebounded to a relatively clean bill of health this season, making great strides to play himself into a succulent long-term deal for whoever chooses to put pen to paper.
