Gwyneth Paltrow celebrated Cameron Diaz's birthday with a couple of heartwarming Instagram posts.

First up, Paltrow posted a selfie with Diaz with the caption: “Happy Birthday to you @camerondiaz my ride or die 💙.”

She followed up by posting the same selfie on her Instagram story, interrupting her ongoing Q+A stories. “Can I please pause to say happy birthday to one of the greatest people I know and one of my best, closest, most cherished friends,” she said, tagging Diaz's account.

Cameron Diaz, who just turned 51, is known for her roles in The Mask, My Best Friend's Wedding, Gangs of New York, and voicing Princess Fiona in the Shrek series. She also starred in the original Charlie's Angels films in the early 2000s.

The 2010s brought films like Bad Teacher, The Counselor, The Other Woman, Sex Tape, and Annie for Diaz. She has been on a hiatus for nearly a decade, but she will star in a new action comedy film titled Back in Action from Seth Gordon (Baywatch). Jamie Foxx, Glenn Close, Kyler Chandler, and Andrew Scott star in the film.

Gwyneth Paltrow is an Oscar winner for her role in Shakespeare in Love. She is also widely associated with her role of Pepper Potts in the MCU — a role fans shouldn't expect to see her return to. From 2008-2019, Paltrow portrayed Pepper Potts — the romantic interest of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). However, given the fact that Iron Man died in Avengers: Endgame, Paltrow doesn't see any use for her chracter.

Celebrity friends are fun, and it's nice to see two like Paltrow and Diaz celebrating one of their birthdays.
