Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young just matched Luka Doncic with an incredible 48-point explosion in the opening game of the ECF against the Milwaukee Bucks. Young went off to upset the Bucks in Game 1 with an unforgettable ECF debut stat line of 48 points, 11 dimes, and seven rebounds.

The 2018 Draft Class continues to shine as both Young and Doncic are now the only two players aged 22 or younger to notch a 45-and-10 game ever in the history of the league (via StatMuse).

Stats like this continue to prove that the draft-day trade between the Dallas Mavericks and the Hawks is one of the most win-win deals in recent NBA history. But, Hawks fans will endlessly argue that Young has achieved way more than Doncic given that he put the Hawks in quite a special position being just three wins away from bringing the franchise to the 2021 NBA Finals.

Young had a masterful performance in his ECF debut and went toe-to-toe with two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. At just 22 years of age, the Hawks superstar didn't shy away from the challenge and put on an unforgettable Game 1 outburst to steal the opening game of the series.

Aside from his masterful shooting night where he knocked down 17-34 (50%) from the field, Young made sure to get everyone involved in offense which was highlighted by his game-high of 11 dimes. The All-Star made crucial plays down the stretch and even knocked down two clutch free throws, in the end, to eventually seal the W for the Hawks.

We all know how great Luka Doncic is. But now, can the world recognize how Trae Young is on that same level if not even better?
