Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young has fired back at the 15 talent evaluators HoopsHype asked in regards to which players under 25 they'd build their franchise around.

Young, who made his first All-Star team in the 2019-20 season, didn't receive a single vote.

This is just even more motivation for Trae Young, who has been doubted his whole basketball life due to his small stature. To recall, there were many NBA pundits who said Young was going to be a bust in the NBA.

While the Hawks missed the playoffs in 2020 and finished the regular season with the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference standings before games were suspended in March due to COVID-19, Young had a stellar campaign. The 22-year-old appeared in 60 games and averaged 29.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 9.3 assists. Young also shot 43.7 percent from the field, 36.1 percent from beyond the arc and 86.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Moving forward, the Hawks have to surround Young and big man John Collins with more talent if the franchise wants to get back to the playoffs. Atlanta has the sixth overall pick in the 2020 draft and a good amount of cap space, so it will be fascinating to see what management does this offseason.

Young has missed the playoffs in his first two years in the NBA. With that being said, you know the talented youngster is hungry to make the postseason in 2020-21 since he's one of the best up-and-coming stars in the NBA and lives for the big moments that the playoffs bring.
