Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade has never been shy to speak against the different social issues the country is facing. Proof of this is his continuous efforts in raising awareness with his social media posts, along with being active with community work.

Wade recently did another huge act that showed how much he condemns the violent shooting incidents that have resulted in a lot of senseless deaths.

The Heat guard made a surprise visit at Stoneman Douglas High School, where the Parkland, Florida shooting incident occurred last month, resulting to 17 lives lost on February 14th in what can be considered one of the darkest days of the country.

He spoke to the students there and encouraged them to voice out their disapproval of such unwanted acts. He also inspired them to make a difference in their own little way, in order to prevent similar travesties from happening again.

Wade then took to his Twitter account to share his experience about talking to the students. He also said that he is looking forward to being involved in the future with the actions they are going to create to promote change.

Once again, the former 12-time All-Star proved that he is more than just a basketball player. His visit to the school could also pave the way for other players to be instruments in promoting positive change and touch the lives of as many people as possible.

Wade is using basketball, as well as his stature, to send a strong message that violent acts do not have a place anywhere in the world and that professional athletes like him care about others too.

In fact, it's not just Wade who can provide support to the victims of the Parkland shooting incident. Even you can help the cause by purchasing these statement shirts and its proceeds will go the victims. It's a simple act that will surely go a long way.
