Miami Heat Jimmy Butler attempted a hilarious trick just to give his team an advantage in the final moments of their game against the New York Knicks Tuesday night.

With 4.8 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Butler faked an eye injury in a bid to get a flagrant foul which could've iced the victory for the Heat. The game officials didn't reward him with the call but the Heat still ran away with a 98-96 victory on their home floor.

After the game, Butler jokingly claimed that he got his acting prowess from his good friend Mark Wahlberg, via SportsCenter.

On Tuesday night, Butler faced a couple of familiar faces in Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau and newly-acquired guard Derrick Rose. All three individuals spent time together with the Chicago Bulls from 2011 to 2015 and with the Minnesota Timberwolves back in the 2018-19 season.

With Rose's arrival to the Knicks, the New York-based squad managed to put up a fight against the Heat which went down to the wire. Head coach Erik Spoelstra's team managed to execute key plays in crunch time which led them to escape with a 98-96 victory.

Jimmy Butler led his depleted Heat squad with 26 points, eight rebounds, and 10 assists. Four of his teammates also stepped up for the team's winning cause by scoring in double-digits as five Heat players remain on the sidelines due to their respective injuries.

Miami is finally gaining momentum and further improved to a 10-14 record for the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, the Knicks remain ahead of them in the standings with an 11-15 tally for the ninth seed.

Jimmy Butler and his squad are slowly getting back on track after the veteran forward missed several games due to COVID-19 related matters. The team will certainly need his production if they want to remain in contention for a playoff spot moving forward.

The Heat will aim to extend their three-game winning streak when they visit the skidding Houston Rockets on Feb. 11.
