The Miami Heat and Boston Celtics are set to square off in the Eastern Conference Finals, and it seems most fans are already writing off the Eastern Conference's No. 1 seed. While the majority seem to think the Celtics will take down the Heat and reach the NBA Finals, Jimmy Butler isn't bothered by the outside noise. Via Wes Golderberg, Butler claimed that he and his teammates aren't paying attention to “what anybody else picks” and are going to play with their usual fighting mentality.

“I think everybody is looking forward to it. What I love about this team, nobody is paying attention to what anybody else picks because we know that we can win,” said Butler on Monday. “Those are guys that I want to go to war with… we're gonna fight, and we're gonna come out on top.”

Well, that certainly sounds like someone who is confident in the supporting cast he has around him. Despite the media and fans leaning towards the Celtics ahead of their seven-game series, the Heat are no strangers to being doubted. Regardless of what people say, Butler knows the game will be settled on the court.

The Celtics certainly do look like a tough team to beat, having turned things around against Milwaukee and won the final two games of their seven-game series. Still, Butler and his teammates are just focused on playing their own game and executing their game plan to the best of their ability. Erik Spoelstra will do what he can to set the team up for success, and with the fiery nature that Miami plays with, fans should think twice about counting them out. Butler's comments certainly suggest the Heat are confident they can take down Boston.
