Miami Heat forward Kelly Olynyk is always ready if his team decides to trade him. Olynyk was almost earlier this week, but the 28-year-old is not too worried about it.

Olynyk was mentioned as a possible trade piece that would be shipped to the Dallas Mavericks to make room for Jimmy Butler. The Heat eventually kept him after finalizing a four-team deal involving the Portland Trail Blazers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Los Angeles Clippers.

Reacting to the roller-coaster ride that he had earlier this week, Olynyk told Chad Klassen of CFJC Today that it is now a thing of the past because it did not happen. He holds no grudge as well, saying that he is aware that the NBA is a business and players can get dealt anytime.

“It is what it is. It’s a business,” Olynyk said. It’s the business side of the game, fortunate or unfortunate, however you want to look at it. But you get paid to do something you love and there’s not much to complain about.”

Olynyk is still a Heat almost a week into the 2019 NBA Free Agency, but it remains to be seen whether or not Miami will keep him. The 28-year-old power forward spent the past two seasons in Miami after playing his first four years in the league in Boston. In 79 games last season, he averaged 10.0 points and 4.7 rebounds in 22.9 minutes per game.
