The Miami Heat are back at home for Game 5 against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night, but unfortunately, they'll remain without one of their key offensive weapons. According to Tim Bontemps, the Heat have ruled out Tyler Herro for Wednesday night's Game 5, as he's still nursing a groin injury. This will mark the second consecutive game in the series that Herro has missed with the injury, and it remains unclear when he'll be available to return.

Herro's absence will be particularly noticeable considering the Heat are coming off a historically bad offensive night in Game 4 against Boston. With Herro unavailable last game, Miami only put up 82 points in the 20-point defeat in Boston. Without their leading bench scorer, the team may once again struggle on Wednesday night.

While the Heat were hit with the disappointing news on Herro, who is averaging 12.3 points on 39% shooting, the Celtics were given an extremely positive injury update, further worsening the situation for Miami. Both Marcus Smart and Robert Willians will be suiting up for Boston. Smart missed Game 4 with an ankle sprain, while Williams was active and played 19 minutes.

In Game 3, the last time Herro played, he struggled from the field, shooting just 4-for-15 and going 0-for-6 from 3-point range, logging just over 20 minutes on the court.

During the regular season, Herro, the reigning Sixth Man of the Year award winner, averaged 20.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game for the Heat, featuring in 66 games and registering an average of 32.6 minutes on the floor per night.
