Tyler Herro has been making headlines of late, but you can't say that they're for the best reasons. Despite establishing himself as an integral part of the Miami Heat roster last season, the reigning Sixth Man of the Year winner has still seen his name dragged into numerous trade rumors. The Heat have been keeping busy in the summer, and it seems that Herro could see himself pushed out of the team before the new season begins.

Just recently, Herro was linked to a massive trade package that could see Miami acquiring Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz. The Heat will have stiff competition for the All-Star shooting guard, though, with the New York Knicks also reportedly in the mix.

According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, the Knicks may have a more substantial trade package to offer the Jazz, with the centerpiece being RJ Barrett:

An unofficial B/R poll of over two dozen NBA executives at Summer League this week indicated Barrett boasts a greater trade value across the league than Miami's best blue-chip prospect, Tyler Herro, by a wide margin, particularly because of Barrett's improving strengths on the defensive end.

Herro might be one of the brightest young stars in the league, but it appears that league execs see more value in Barrett. The Knicks seem to be in the driver's seat in terms of a Donovan Mitchell trade, so the Heat will need to up their ante if they want to keep themselves running in the race.
