The Miami Heat pulled off an epic victory on Friday in Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers. Unsurprisingly, it was Jimmy Butler who led the way for Miami with yet another awe-inspiring performance from the All-Star forward.

Butler showcased his unbridled laser focus throughout the contest, and the 31-year-old spoke out about the same in his post-game interview, via ClutchPoints on Twitter:

Butler finished this one with his second triple-double of the Finals, logging 35 points on 11-of-19 shooting, to go along with 12 rebounds, 11 assists, five steals, and a block. He barely rested in Game 5 as well, playing out the entire contest, save for just 48 seconds.

LeBron James had an equally, if not even more impressive showing for L.A., finishing with a game-high 40 points on 15-of-21 shooting, with 13 boards, seven assists, and three steals. The three-time NBA champ also connected on six triples on the evening, as he did all he could to bring the title home. Unfortunately for him, Butler and Co. had other plans. Nonetheless, this was still one of LeBron's best performances in the Finals.

Butler and the rest of the Heat will have a day to recover, as they take the floor again on Sunday for Game 6. There's no denying that the momentum is on their side now, and while the Lakers still remain to be the favorites to win the chip, it is clear that Miami won't be going out without a formidable fight.
