With free agency now in full swing, the Miami Heat have been busy trying to work out deals with some players they want to bring in to their fold. However, they still have their eyes set on their own free agents, including their team captain and 14-year veteran.

The team made it clear to Udonis Haslem that they want him back next season, and placed four placards outside his home. They were in front of his gate at 12:01am of July 1, which is also the time free agency this year officially started. They wanted him to know that they think highly of him, and have not forgotten what he has brought to the franchise throughout his career.

Haslem himself acknowledged the gesture and took to his Instagram account to let the Heat know that he feels the love they are giving him, indicating his intent to also continue his career in South Beach.

Although he no longer projects to spend plenty of time on the court, his value comes from being a veteran locker room leader and mentor to younger players.
