The Charlotte Hornets hosted the mighty Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night, and it was an opportunity for LaMelo Ball to showcase his tremendous passing acumen yet again. Ball dished out a couple of awesome assists in the second period against the Sixers, including a pinpoint dime to Miles Bridges, who in turn finished the fast-break play with authority.

Here's a look at Charlotte's young guns showcasing their talents (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

Once LaMelo got the ball in the open court, we all knew that this was likely going to end up with a highlight-reel play. The rookie dished out an eye-popping behind-the-back bounce pass right to the path of a surging Bridges, who finished off the play with an emphatic windmill jam.

For good measure, Ball notched another assist in the ensuing play, setting up Gordon Hayward for a wide-open triple.

Wednesday night marked Ball's second start of his young NBA career. Charlotte's third overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft was recently promoted to the starting unit with Terry Rozier still dealing with an ankle problem.

Ball, who has been making waves both on and off the court, logged 14 points, five rebounds, seven assists, two triples, and three turnovers in his first start for the Hornets on Monday against the Miami Heat.
