The UFC 303: Pereira vs. Prochazka 2 Main Card is finally here and we’ll be bringing you all of our betting predictions and picks for each fight. The PPV card kicks-off with a highly anticipated ranked matchup in the Welterweight (170) Division as No. 7 Ian Machado Garry takes on the newly-minted UFC roster addition in No. 14 Michael Page. Check out our UFC odds series for our Garry-Page prediction and pick.

Ian Machado Garry (14-0) has gone a perfect 7-0 through his UFC tenure beginning in 2021. His skills have been tested with each passing fight and he comes in off two impressive victories over Neil Magny and Geoff Neal in a split decision. His stock is rising fast and he’ll look to punch one ticket closer to his goal of a title shot. Garry stands 6’3″ with a 74.5-inch reach.

Michael Page (22-2) will be making his second UFC appearance following a sensational debut win over Kevin Holland. A former 17-2 champion over at Bellator, Michael “Venom” Page made headlines with his UFC roster signing and immediately impressed in his first fight. Now, he’ll have a chance to extinguish the hype of a star in the division. Page stands 6’3″ with a 79-inch reach.

Why Ian Machado Garry Will Win

Ian Machado Garry proved the doubters wrong once again in his last fight as he edged Geoff Neal in a tough split decision win. While Garry looked sharp for most of that fight, it wasn’t the exciting finish or dominating performance on the feet he used to seeing. At 7-0, his stock only continues to rise and we’ve seen him become visibly better as a martial artist with each passing bout. His confidence is at an all-time high following his last win and he’s fully convinced that his game is levels above what Page is used to dealing with.

Ian Garry will have a solid fighting style to counter the unique looks of Michael Page. He, too, bounces on his toes in a karate-style stance, making himself a very hard target to hit. Garry is also very convincing with his striking attack and fully commits to whatever he throws. His takedown accuracy is 75% and his defense is right around 70%, but expect Ian Garry to engage in a striking contest Michael Page welcomes as well. His aggression and ability to take a shot should serve him well as he looks to implement what should be a well-thought-out game plan.

Why Michael Page Will Win

After a massive amount of hype heading into his debut, Michael “Venom” Page proved he was every ounce of what he thought he could be in the UFC. Facing an experienced and extremely tough fighter like Kevin Holland in your debut is no small task, but Page stepped up in the moment and turned in a nearly flawless performance. He has one of the slickest striking games on the planet and is nearly impossible to hit clean. Page also works tremendously in countering his opponent’s attacks, so he’ll be waiting for the moment Garry over-extends so he can land his strikes.

Michael Page will be working with a significant reach advantage during this fight and I expect him to make the most of this physical edge. He’s already very active in moving his head off the center line, but his reach will allow him to move out of range faster and make this a frustrating fight for Garry. He shouldn’t expect too much from the grappling, but his long frame ensures he’ll be a difficult customer to bring down during this one. Don’t sleep on his ability to hit his target while avoiding damage on his own end.

Final Ian Machado Garry-Michael Page Prediction & Pick

This is going to be an extremely high-level bout between these two fighters and we’re excited to see them test their skills in the octagon. Both men are extremely gifted with their striking and given all of his experience in getting to this point, it seems as though the rightful edge is given to Ian Machado Garry.

This fight will be determined by whichever fighter can limit the damage done on themselves and I think Michael Page will be the harder man to hit in this one. Kevin Holland had an extremely tough time reaching Page’s chin and given the reach discrepancy in this one, I don’t think it will be any easier for Ian Garry to do the same. Still, expect Michael Page to be tested in a way he has never been before.

For our final prediction, we have to roll with Michael Page to get this win as the underdog. His value at the moment is too high and while Ian Garry is likely to have the power advantage here, I think Page will be too hard too hit and Garry will grow frustrated, ultimately leading to mistakes. Let’s take a chance on the underdog in this one.
