The Charlotte Hornets got back in the win column against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night, and they did it in style, 119-98. The Hornets held the lead for the majority of the game and got it up to as high as 24 points. They controlled the tempo and shut down any hopes the Cavaliers might've had for a comeback.

The Hornets did all of that while LaMelo Ball only played eight minutes because of foul trouble. This opened up the door for former All-Star Isaiah Thomas, who just signed a 10-day deal with the squad. He put up 10 points in 14 minutes off the bench.

It may have shocked some of Thomas' doubters, but it was no surprise to Terry Rozier. He was Thomas' backup when the two played for the Boston Celtics, so he knows what IT is capable of contributing to the Hornets.

“He was huge. It's not just what he does on the court. It's his leadership, his voice in the locker room is already making an impact. It's good for us to have guys like him that have been to the playoffs and know what it takes. I've watched IT for two or three seasons. He's nothing short of amazing,” said Rozier.

Rozier had a front-row seat to the prime years of Thomas, so it's safe to take his word on anything he would say about him. More importantly, the Hornets won again after losing two straight games. Plus, they beat one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference.

It's got to be a huge confidence boost for the young Hornets, as they try to make a push for the NBA Playoffs. Now, it's time to move on and build off the win moving forward. That same kind of effort just needs to be replicated for the home stretch of the season.
